While walking north on U.S.31 between Kokomo and Peru, Indiana I noticed something unusual. Almost every car that stopped had not seen the Cross on this section of U.S.31 before. The majority of people was from the area and traveled U.S. 31 often. Now this surprised me. This was the 7th time that I had carried the Cross along this section of U.S.31 since the first walk in 1981. Each time the walk went on this section of U.S.31 was a different combination of days and different hours of the day. It never ceases to be an amazement of how God will work thing out to bless a person he wants to bless. Fifteen minutes before reaching Fail Road on the east side of La Porte, IN I stopped and relived myself. Then just after the first step onto Fail Road and S.R.2 intersection the urge hit again. This time it was like I had just drank a gallon of water. The pressure on the bladder was so great that an accident was about to happen. On the other side of the intersection was a Classic Used Car Dealership. As soon as there was a place to stop and set the Cross down I did. Then I took off for the office area. There in the office was the owner sitting at a desk. After getting direction to the restroom I went. Then before leaving the office there was a conversation between us for a few minutes. After the conversation about Jesus I spoke a blessing over the man. As I was turning to leave he said, “Just a minute.” When I turned back the man was not in site. Then suddenly he appeared from an adjoining room. He gave an offering and as usual the offering went into the pocket with looking at it. As we walk to the door the conversation was about the things of the LORD. The man went to do his work and I walked to the Cross. After taking several steps with the Cross the LORD began to speak, “I had you to stop there not just to bless you but so I could bless that man.” Praise the LORD. Get the Revelation. God puts the believer where he wants them not just to bless the believer but to bless the other person. Being where you need to be according to the LORD”S will so the LORD may bless the other person is an important part of the believer’s walk. Therefore the blessing a believer receives is not only a blessing for the believer but it initiates a blessing for the other person also. While walking through Missouri on U.S.61 there was one vehicle coming toward me in the far lane. It was honking to get my attention. The honking was like someone honking to waving hello or give a thumbs up signal. Then as the vehicle came close enough to see the driver he was giving what the world would call a rude jester. But my response was as usual. I waved and said, “God bless you.” As the walk continued the Holy Spirit dropped the thought into my mind, “Thank you for Blessing me.” This was an unnatural thought in response to this type of action. |
