Text Box: I. When JESUS taught his disciples how to pray, he said ask for the will of GOD to be done on earth as it is done in Heaven. Without asking, GOD cannot move in his will. GOD will only move when Christian ask GOD to move in his will. When asked, GOD will move the heavens and shake the earth to do His will.

Matthew 6:9-10
"This is how you should pray:'Our Father in Heaven; hallow
be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on
earth as it is in Heaven.... "
New International Version
A. Ask according to the will of GOD and GOD will hear the prayer. Christians have the Bible for the written will of GOD. Therefore a person can find GOD'S will in the Bible. Then the one praying can pray according to GOD'S will. GOD'S will is written in the Bible, the Bible is the revealed will of GOD. Everything that is needs covered by prayer is found in the Bible. There are prayers of consecration and dedication that are not covered directly but the principle of the prayer is in the Bible. Only in these latter prayers should the one praying say "your will be done Father and not my own will."

I John 5:14-15
This is the assurance we have in approaching GOD.
That if we ask according to His will. He hears us.
And if we know that He hears us- What ever we ask-
we know that we have what we ask of Him.
New International Version
B. The one who prays must remain in JESUS to receive an answer or to be heard in Heaven. Only through JESUS can a person come before GOD. Going through JESUS takes faith by the one praying. JESUS will bring glory to GOD by answering the prays of the Christians. GOD is glorified by His will being done on earth as it is done in Heaven.

John 15:7-8
If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.
This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit,
showing yourselves to be my disciples.
New International Version
II. Asking, seeking, and knocking all work together in asking in prayer. Asking is the petitioning part of prayer. The seeking is the part of asking that the one praying is seeking the will of GOD to be done in the earth, in their life, and the lives of everyone in the family. The knocking is the knocking down the strong holds that are set up against the knowledge of GOD and His will.

Matthew 7:7-12
Ask and it will be give to you, seek and you will find,
knock and the door will be opened to you.
 For everyone ask receives; he who seeks finds;
and to him who knocks the door will be opened.
Which of you, if his son ask for bread, will give him a stone?
Or if he asks for a fish, will him a snake?
