Text Box: Days 6 to 9 The first person to stop was a pastor from Indiana, he was on his way home from a Men’s spiritual retreat in Wichita, KS. The Holy Spirit ministered to him about several things. One thing that was ministered to him was “A Righteous Attitude”. This was a divine encounter orchestrated by the One True God (Yahweh). Pastor M asked prayer for his brother and himself who was struggling with moral sins. After speaking a blessing over him he left for home. Several days later I received an email from Pastor M about the encounter. The following is the email; the name was removed to protect the pastor, his family and his Church.  Tom, As the Lord would have it, I met you on Hwy. 67 at Hoxie this past Monday, April 27. It happened to be my birthday #54 and I was returning from a men's spiritual retreat in Wichita, KS. You prayed for me and my brother Roger in our moral struggles. I just wanted to tell you how much that encounter meant to me and helped me. That morning I was a bit discouraged thinking about the weight and burden of my brother's sins and feeling that there was no way I could help him bear the burden of his sins. The Lord reminded me of I Peter 2:24 that Christ has already borne our sins that we should live for righteousness. While you and I were talking, you shared some truth with me that the Lord really used to give me victory later in my trip on Monday. You said, "We need to focus on the fact that we are the righteous of God in Christ and not on our sin". When I got back in my car, I looked up II Cor. 5:17 & 21. Two things stood out to confirm what you said. #1 When we are in Christ we are new creatures and #2 because we are in Christ, we are the righteous of God in Him! Well, I was meditating on these truths as I was driving and when I got the ARK/MO state line I was so sleepy that I knew I had to stop and get something to drink (Pepsi) to stay awake. At that moment I looked to my right and there was a truck stop. The thought came to my mind that they may have porn in there so I prepared myself. I walked in and started toward the restroom and ran right into a stand that was just loaded with pornographic magazines. For about 3 or 4 seconds my mind went back over all my past and I really wanted to go over and pick up and open one of the magazines. But then what you said and what the scripture said came to my mind, "I am the righteous of God in Christ and I do not have to do this anymore!" I immediately turned away from the stand and went straight to the bathroom and then to the Pepsi cooler and I was out of there fast! God delivered me by His grace and the power of His word that you shared with me. Praise the Lord! I was able to share this victory with my brother and my family and plan to share it with my church Sunday. Tom, thank you for allowing God to use you in my life. The LORD ministered to them through the blessing spoken over them.
