The blessings of the LORD began several months before the actual walk of the Walk Crusade began in Bangor, Maine. The LORD provided large cash offering for travel, supplies and taking care of business before the walk. Then He provided for the vehicle to be serviced and repaired before leaving for Bangor, Maine.

I left for Canton, Missouri May 30th, in the late afternoon after loading the van. Because of the late start I could not reach Canton, Missouri the same day. At Bowling Green, Missouri I stopped for the night.

After a good night’s sleep I arrived in Canton, Missouri at the Freedom in Christ Fellowship at 9:30 AM. After service I met Bonnie and Bill, who had a deliverance ministry. Pastor Ray invited me to stay for the church picnic. The time of fellowship was awesome and good encouragement. Before leaving the picnic Pastor Ray, the Elders and several members of the Church prayed for me. This was the first time the LORD had called me by the name he had given me in 1982.

Later that day I arrived in Rome, Illinois at some friends’ house. I stayed there two nights working on making a bed in the van to sleep on. The bed was used quite often during the walk.

After leaving Rome, Illinois the trip continued on to Chicago, Illinois. There I stopped in Oak Lawn to visit with a couple of friends. The LORD provided another offering for the walk.

After a couple of days in Oak Lawn, I proceeded on to Portage, Indiana where I stopped at a motel for the night. When I had got settled in I called brother Norm a close friend of mine, who lived in Portage. Brother Norm and Jackie, his wife, arrived at 7:30 P.M. The time of fellowship last two hours and finished with prayer.

The next morning, June 3, 2003, was day five of the trip to Bangor, Maine. Before leaving Portage, Indiana I stopped to visit with Brother Norm and Jackie. I arrived in Elkhart, Indiana to see Pastor Roger Dickson and friend of mine from the first Walk Crusade in 1981. (You can get the paperback book called “Adventures In Jesus” to Read about how Pastor Dickson and I met.) At the Trinity Praise and Worship church where Pastor Dickson pastors I found out through his son, John, that Roger had a funeral. Pastor Dickson and I talked on the phone and made arrangements to meet at 2:30 PM the next day.

After visiting with Pastor Dickson for an hour and half I left for South Bend, Indiana. The first place I stopped was LeSea Ministries. The bookstore didn’t have all the tracts available I wanted for the Walk Crusade. I did find some gospel tracts that would work and bought them. After I was leaving the bookstore I met Pastor Bob from the New Life Temple In South Bend, this was a divine appointment.

After stopping in downtown South Bend, the next stop was in Niles, Michigan and the towns to Ann Harbor, Michigan. I stopped near Somerset, Michigan for the night.

The next morning, Day 7, it was on to Ann Harbor, Michigan. Driving round the University of Michigan I could not find a place to park and pray. Several blocks away from the University there was a place to park where I could pray. While
