Text Box: After a week of updating the web page the walk began again on 20 of April, 2009, the third day of walking. The Cross was unloaded were the walk stopped at on the 11th at the junction of US 412 and SR 141. The first four miles was a quick walk of only two miles, but it didn’t seem like four miles.
I repented after the LORD rebuke me for refusing a lady from the Light Baptist Church. It was her way of giving an offering. By refusing the offering I cheated her out of a blessing from the LORD. But I asked the LORD to bless her as if she had given it, because it was my disobedience and not her’s.
Just as we were leaving Light Rodney came up to the Cross. There were many different facets to the conversation but it was mostly about Jesus. The main part of the conversation was about attending a church for the strength of other brothers and sisters to help during time of troubles and stumbles. The real Church of Jesus Christ does not kick those who stumble and fall. They pick them up and help them to succeed and become victorious in Jesus the Christ of the Living God. This is done through nurturing and guidance and not by condemning and convicting. There comes a time when a believer must start standing on their own but the help and strength of other believers make it possible.
While ministering to Rodney a couple of friends stopped they were coming back from the Agape Church in Little Rock. Talked with them for a few minutes then it was time to proceed walking toward Walnut Ridge. Most of the rest of the day was walking and sharing with David who was with me.
About a mile from the county line of Greene and Lawrence counties a man stopped whose name was Gideon. Gideon was on his way to his mother’s house in Helena, AR when he saw the Cross. When Gideon saw the Cross he called his mother and she said to go back and see if it was Arthur Blessit. He found an experience with the One True God and Jesus Christ (Yeshua Messiah).
I ministered to Gideon for several minutes. While speaking the blessing over him the LORD revealed to me he had a wondering spirit. After speaking deliverance to him and praying for him he left. The next day my wife received a call from Gideon’s mother. After talking with her for a couple of minutes Jo gave me the phone. Gideon’s mother was very excited about what took place in Gideon. She said that he was a different person; he was sing and praising God throughout the house. Praise the LORD!
To receive a report like this was very encouraging. Every once and a while God lets me know that I am in his will by receiving a special report of what God had done through the walk with the Cross.
Just as David and I crossed the Cache River a man stopped his name was Ronny. After talking a few minutes he took David back to the van and I continued to walk another ½ mile the LORD moved me to stop because it was the place where he wanted me to stop for the day and I was tired. David arrived several minutes later. We loaded the Cross on the van and left.
The next day was a day of dusting and spider web cleaning in Jonesboro, AR.
The fourth day of walk began where the third day stopped. David wasn’t with me yet because he had overslept. While loading the Cross with the tracts and some fruit and fruit bars the farmer who owned the land stopped. He went to church. He asked, “What are you doing?”
I answered, “I’m preparing to walk with the Cross.”
After answering several questions about the Cross and carrying it I asked him if it would be alright to park on his land out of the way of the equipment. The farmer said it was alright.
The first people who stopped were Jassy, Charles and Claudia, they only stayed a few minutes. After blessing them they left for their destination. There was a man and wife digging up some irises from an abandoned house, David crossed the road and ministered to them while I continued to walk.
The next person who stopped was a man named Huston. He liked to gamble, Huston said would title on the money he planned to lose at the casino. As I ministered to him the Lord said anything that controls you more than Jesus is sin”. This was something I never thought of that way. Huston said he was born
