Prayer is a believer acting in union with the thought and will of GOD. The believer must yield his will to the will of GOD. This will bring the believer's mind in union with GOD'S thoughts.

Prayer does not change GOD'S will. Prayer does not change what GOD has determined to do. Prayer may suspend what GOD'S will until the believer or person begins to co-operate with GOD.

Without prayer two things happen, no prayer allows the devil to have his way, and the flesh will do what it wants with little restraint against the will of GOD. Without prayer GOD will not move or change things because He does not have the co-operation of man.

With prayer GOD will relent from punishment of His children. GOD disciplines His Children with love and compassion and there is always room for His children to repent.

True prayer expresses that the believer's will is in agreement with GOD'S will. Prayer means putting GOD'S will above the will of the one who is praying. GOD will not establish anything that is against the will of a person. The devil cannot interfere with the will of a person. 

But the devil does deceive many people into doing his will and letting him take liberty with that person.

Man is a free-will agent, GOD created man with a free will, man's will has a choice to follow. The best and most profitable is the will of GOD, and GOD'S will is not grievous. The worst choice is the will of Satan. Satan leads men in blindness of thinking that the will of the flesh is all their own will. But in reality Satan and his co-harts guide the will of the flesh.
