December 23, 2001 the weather had become to unpredictable to continue walking. I had reached the Missouri River. It was a good stopping place for the winter. The Holy Spirit spoke and said I would return on March 15, 2002 to complete the walk to the Arch in St. Louis. So I packed up and headed for Arkansas where I stay with some friends for the winter.
March 14th I left Arkansas for St. Louis, Missouri and to finish the walk to the Arch. The Lord provided fairly warm weather at this time. It amazes me how the Lord had everything already set for the rest of the walk.
On Friday the 15th of March while looking for a place to start walking near where I had stopped, the Lord showed me the place to park the van and begin walking. It was at the St. Louis Family Church in Chesterfield, MO. There were couple of place closer to where I had stopped but the Holy Spirit would let me park at those places.
While unloading the Cross from the van one of the Youth Pastors of the Church came out and talked with me. And while I was loading the Cross with the materials for walking some two of the women from the Church came out and talk with me.
After leaving within the first 1/2 mile one man stopped and then another stopped. There weren't many people who stopped that day. But the ones that did were sent by God. On the way back to the van two teenagers stopped, the boy was 18 and the girl was 16. They were on their way to Church to set things up for a youth stay over. These two were on fire for God. They even stood in the rain talking to me. It had been raining off and on all day long. They were a blessing. The rain that day was heavy at times. I became soaked to the bone and cold by the time the two teens stopped.
Saturday I drove to Kahoka, Mo where I was to preach on Sunday. On the way I stopped in Quincy, IL see my friend, Carl but he was not in. So I continued to Kahoka. The Lord Blessed with the motel room for the day and night. He worked a miracle.
